We have arrived in San Antonio, TX. The flight was quite
fun. Do you remember way back then when you got to watch one or two movies with
everyone on a big screen. Well, that’s a thing of the past! You actually have
an individual monitor built in to the seat. It acts like an Ipod. It’s loaded
with music, movies and tv shows. I got to see quite a few movies. I watched
“Big Miracle” about the rescue of
the three whales. It even made me
cry! “The women on the 6th floor” was in French with English
subtitles. That one was quite funny with a happy ending. And the last one was
“Joyful Noise”. That one was so good that I am hoping to get the soundtrack
from the library, and maybe I’ll download the movie from Itunes…

Wir sind in San Antonio, Texas! Der Flug hat viel Spass
gemacht. Kannst du dich daran erinnern wie noch vor ein paar Jahren man einen
(vieleicht 2!) Filme miteinander im Flugzeug angeschaut hat? Das gibt es jetzt
nicht mehr. Jeder Passagier hat einen eigenen Bildschirm der wie ein Ipod
funktioniert. Es hat jede Menge Musik, Filme und TV Serien. Ich habe jede Menge
Filme angeschaut. Der erste war “Big Miracles” ueber die Rettung dreier Wale.
Ich musste sogar ein paar Traenen wegwischen!Der Film “Die Frauen aus dem 6ten
Stock” war in Franzoesisch mit Untertitels in Englisch. Der war richtig lustig
mit einen Happy End. Und der letzte war “Joyful Noise” mit Dolly Parton. Der
war so gut das ich mir den Soundtrack von der Buecherei bestellen werde und mir
vieleicht sogar vom Itunes runterladen muss.
Even though we had stuff to keep us entertained, it was
still a long flight! My behind was hurting in the end! Thank goodness we had a
3 hour layover in Atlanta to stretch our legs. We got in to San Antonio on
time! I was very surprised when we looked outside the window to see the city
from above. I don’t know why but I thought it would look more like a desert!
But its quite green looking.!!!
Auch wenn wir staendig unterhalten wurden war es dennoch ein
langer Flug! Mein Hintern hat wirklich weh getan am Ende. Gluecklicherweise
hatten wir eine 3 Stunden Pause in Atlanta und konnten etwas herum laufen.
Wir waren puenktlich in San Antonio. Ich war sehr
ueberrascht als wir aus dem Flugzeug waehrend des Landeanflugs geschaut haben.
Ich weiss nicht warum aber ich dachte es wuerde mehr wie in einer Wueste
ausschauen. Aber es ist sehr gruen!
We got to the car rental place and all hell broke loose! Out
of nowhere gusts of wind were picking up and really heavy rain started to fall.
It was so bad that the huge billboard sign of the rental place fell to the
ground and broke into a thousand pieces! We were so glad that no one got hurt!
It stopped as fast as it started and off we were to the hotel.
Wir sind zur Autovermietung gekommen und es wurde richtig
verrueckt. Ploetzlich wurde es sehr windig und es regnete wie verrueckt. Es war
so schlimm das das grosse Schild der Autovermietung zu Boden gefallen ist und
in 1000 Stuecke zerbrochen ist. Wir waren froh das keiner zu Schaden gekommen
ist! Es war aber genauso schnell vorbei wie es angefangen hat!
The ride to the hotel was quite smooth! Ten minutes and we
were downtown. The hotel looks awesome! It’s right on the riverwalk. The rooms
are pretty nice too. But the bathrooms are old (but clean!) and need to be rescued
from the 80’s!
Die Fahrt zum Hotel war schnell und einfach. Innerhalb 10
Minuten waren wir in der Innenstadt. Das Hotel ist super! Es ist genau am
Riverwalk. Die Zimmer sind auch schoen und geraeumig. Aber die Badezimmer sind
alt (jedoch sehr sauber) und muessten aus den 80er Jahren in dieses Jahrhundert
gebracht werden.
We were dead tired ! So we showered and went right to bed!
Wir waren hundemuede! Wir haben geduscht und sind gleich ins
Bett!
