I should have checked my iron first though! Pasha was kind enough to point out (rather quickly!!!) that the letters were coming off already! So helpful! (Sarcasm is dripping here!) I am not happy!
Okay, Plan B forms in my mind... I am just going to sew them down! I change the setting on my machine, change the thread color (which I first had to look in several boxes full of thread!) and got to work.
Not a good thing! I am beyond mad! You can insert a lot of colorful words here. Martin was poking fun at me and now he is walking around without a head!
Look at this mess!
It just looked awful!
So I took my seam ripper and tore out the stitches. Now I have a ton of holes. I also pulled off the rest of the letters since they were pretty much falling off by themselves! Now I have to figure out what to do with a bunch of holes and glue residue on my quilt top! Shoot!

I am really not happy... at all!!!

Martin (trying to be helpful even without a head! LOL) suggested to cut them out again and place it on a seperate piece of fabric and appliquéing it over the glue and the holes. Maybe... but I have to stew this over in my mind! I am just going to leave this until tomorrow. I have a feeling that if I'll try to fix it tonight, I'll be even sorrier! LOL
Take care,
Me
Don't be mad. Like they say you learn from try and error(trying to make you feel better :-)).
ReplyDeleteMartin is not so far off with his thought. How about you recut the letters like you had, place them back where you had them (iron them on) and then you take a needle with thread (kind a like cross-stitching) and hand embroider it?
I ‘m sure whatever you are going to do it will work out just fine.
Love you
Jasmin
Befor I forget,
ReplyDeleteAl said to put Martins had back on LOL.
Martin has his head back on... barely but it's there :-)
