Problem # 1

So tonight I printed out my "merry christmas" on word, traced it on my 'steam-a-seam' and ironed it on the backside of the fabric. I painstakingly cut out my letters (30 minutes!), arranged them on my quilt top and ironed them on. I stepped back (really proud of myself!) and admired my beautiful quilt top. It is exactly how I imagined it!

 I should have checked my iron first though! Pasha was kind enough to point out (rather quickly!!!) that the letters were coming off already! So helpful! (Sarcasm is dripping here!) I am not happy!

Okay, Plan B forms in my mind... I am just going to sew them down! I change the setting on my machine, change the thread color (which I first had to look in several boxes full of thread!) and got to work.

Not a good thing! I am beyond mad! You can insert a lot of colorful words here. Martin was poking fun at me and now he is walking around without a head!

I am really not happy... at all!!!

So I took my seam ripper and tore out the stitches. Now I have a ton of holes. I also pulled off the rest of the letters since they were pretty much falling off by themselves! Now I have to figure out what to do with a bunch of holes and glue residue on my quilt top! Shoot!

Martin (trying to be helpful even without a head! LOL) suggested to cut them out again and place it on a seperate piece of fabric and appliquéing it over the glue and the holes. Maybe... but I have to stew this over in my mind! I am just going to leave this until tomorrow. I have a feeling that if I'll try to fix it tonight, I'll be even sorrier! LOL
